2019 Annual Sakai LAMP Camp

Pedagogy and Technology Conference

July 23, 24 and 25, 2019 • Berea, Kentucky

Registration for the 2019 LAMP Conference is open.
The annual summer Sakai Pedagogy and Technology Conference is the annual meeting of Sakai users from the LAMP Consortium as well as friends from other related organizations.  This conference, with its attendant workshops, is highly regarded as the right blend of pedagogical emphasis, technical training, and community building. The workshops have something for everyone, from those who are beginners to using any learning management system all the way to experts in Sakai.

I have heard nothing but good comments from our faculty.
Dr. Suzanne Hine, Vice President for Academic Affiars, Tennessee Wesleyan University

We always include sessions for people who are new to using technology for learning or who are just new to Sakai. We also include sessions for more expert users, continually focusing on using technology for appropriate pedagogy to support effective teaching and learning. Other sessions range from the highly technical to community-building activities for the entire group. Click on the Schedule tab to see an overview of the topics that are included in this year's agenda.
The participants came back singing praises, as ususal!
Dr. Marvin Elliott, Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, Kentucky Christian University

Faculty who are at LAMP member colleges, universities, and seminaries are encouraged to attend.  Our “non-academic educator” members will also find the conference most helpful.  Those who are new to Sakai, or new to distance education, will find a warm and caring group of instructors who will bring them into a level of comfort with Sakai.  By the end of the workshop, you will have the foundation for at least one course to teach in the fall.  Those who are more experienced will find plenty of challenges as well. In addition to faculty, we welcome administrators, IT staff, and other staff who work with technology and learning management systems.  In addition to the content related to pedagogy and technology, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about the LAMP community and to form lasting friendships that will serve you well after the workshop is finished.
